If you’ve been thinking about installing seamless aluminum gutters but are concerned about costs you’ve come to the right place. This blog post won’t spare you from having to get an estimate, but it will give you a ballpark figure you can use to plan your next investment into your home.

First, let’s start by understanding what you’d be paying for. At Rain Control Aluminum, we always install 6″ seamless aluminum gutters, so that’s what we’ll be quoting.

Some companies install 5″ gutters because the material is cheaper. We refuse to do that because our torrential Tampa-area rainstorms require bigger gutters. Narrow gutters will be unable to contain the overflow. As a result, you’ll get water spilling out over the gutters, which will then work its way right back to your foundations. That’s exactly the kind of thing we don’t want.

We mention this because we expect you will probably research around a bit to see what other websites have to say. We want you to understand that when you do this, you might see someone else quoting a cheaper price per foot than we’re going to quote. Just understand that many of those sites will be talking about 5″ gutters by default. While the gutter installation cost is going to be roughly the same for either type of gutter, the materials cost will be just a bit higher.

With that being said, the average price per foot is about $9.00 (give or take a dollar higher or lower). Most homes will need 100 to 150 feet of guttering, which means most homeowners can expect to pay $900 to $1350…probably far less than you were expecting to pay!

With that being said, you still need to call us for an estimate. Your actual price may vary depending upon several factors. For example, the shape of your house could create some difficulties in the process which could make a difference. Obviously, you’ll pay more if you have a bigger house, too.

But even if you have to pay $1500 for seamless aluminum gutters (150 feet of guttering at $10 per foot) you’re still getting a great deal. Seamless aluminum gutters last 20-30 years, which means you are actually paying $50 to $75 per year (or less), or $4.16 to $6.25 per month in order to protect your home from developing tens of thousands of dollars worth of water damage. That’s about the price of a gourmet cup of coffee at your local Starbucks, and it’s a lot more important, too.

Bottom line…seamless gutters are very affordable for most homeowners, and they are absolutely worth the price.
